FAQ

- Why new moms? This seems like a shift from your previous work.

It is! I felt the call to shift into this work after I went through a difficult/scary pregnancy, and then my daughter had a 29 day NICU stay. We are both healthy and thriving now, but that was a tough time for everyone and we couldn't have done it without the most amazing support system.

-What if I had an easy pregnancy and delivery?

Therapy still might be beneficial! There are a lot of changes happening during the postpartum period both physically and emotionally. Many people can benefit from additional support during this transitional time.

- What if I'm not sure if therapy is right for me?

This is a common thought! We can talk about your concerns and any reservations you have about therapy in a free 15 minute phone consult.

- Can I talk to you first?

Yes, I offer a free 15 minute phone consult to all potential patients.

-Why in home therapy?

Because I know from experience how hard it is to get out of the house, let alone schedule a recurring appointment for yourself in those early weeks/months.

-Why is telehealth offered in more locations than in home therapy? Telehealth offers more flexibility because I don't have to travel to a specific location.

-Do you take insurance?

No, but I will provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have "out of network" benefits. You can find out about your benefits by calling your insurance company directly and asking them about coverage for outpatient mental health services.
